e'Flight Box

Assembly made for a fun day in the shop on a rainy day. There are a few small niggles (missing hole for a magnet or two) but nothing major. Anyone capable of actually building a plane can knock this box out with no problem. The result is more than worth it! I’ve been on a 35 year quest for the “best” flight box and this is as close to perfect for my uses as I’ve had.

Be prepared to do lots of sanding to clean up all the burnt and smoke covered areas. There is supposed to be a knife holder but there is no access to the knife guard through the lower bottle shelf. Some pieces needed extra work to make them fit properly i.e. the battery charger shelf. If your ready to invest some time, you will have a really nice field box to help keep you organized and you will have more time in the air.

Great for electrics! It is compact, yet packs in a lot of stuff. I still have some empty drawers! A lot better than the big clunky plastic tool box I had. I never carried that to the flight line because it was big & clunky. It was a crowded box. I can't believe how much I've packed into this new box, and it's smaller, lighter, and easier! I take it to flight line every time now. Assembly was easy. You do need to pay attention to detail, orientation of parts, etc. Always test fit before gluing. Love how the darwers & tilt tray operate easy and the magnets keep them closed very well. I put the dividers in the one end instead of leaving it open for the Tx. Fits my 3S 2200 mah batteries perfect, along with some other accessories & tools. I made a couple minor modifications to the screwdriver rack at the other end to fit the tools I use. Great look too! Guys at the air field are looking to buy one.
